Ludovic Bottosso

Ludovic Bottosso

Ludovic Bottosso was born in 1977, in Nîmes, in the Gard. Very early on, he developed a passion for Art, and more particularly for painting. After exploring different techniques such as watercolor and pastel, he quickly turned to oil. Perfectly self-taught, he practices this difficult technique by copying the great Masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer or even Georges de La Tour. At the end of the 90s, it is the revelation, after a vernissage of the absolute Master, Jacques Poirier. From that point on, he only painted in the “trompe l’oeil” style during his student years, when time permitted. In 2004, he moved to Lyon, and worked as a designer in a large architectural firm, reluctantly giving up brushes and tubes of color. From 2010, after giving up architecture for teaching, he returned to the studio, in order to devote himself to this difficult style called “trompe l’oeil”.
